# Lack of Transparency and Control

Users often have little understanding of where their data is stored, who can access it, and for what purposes it is used. The policies and practices surrounding data storage are frequently opaque, with terms of service and privacy policies that are lengthy, complex, and seldom read by users.

This lack of transparency erodes trust and leaves users feeling powerless about their personal data. Without clear, accessible information, it’s challenging for individuals to make informed decisions about the services they choose and the privacy trade-offs they are inadvertently agreeing to.
